World of Tanks offers multiple ways to get camouflage without spending gold or credits. The easiest method requires just joining a clan while other methods involve completing missions and participating in events. Here are all the ways to get free camouflage in the game.

Clan Camouflage

The simplest way to get free camouflage is joining any clan. As soon as you become a clan member you receive a camouflage that can be used on all your tanks. The best part is you can freely swap this camouflage between vehicles after each battle without any cost.

You don’t need to join a competitive clan or participate in clan activities to get this reward. Even casual clans that accept members without applications will work. Just find any clan through the clan search, submit your application or join one with open recruitment, and the camouflage becomes available immediately. You can move it from tank to tank as many times as you want making it perfect for players who regularly switch between different vehicles.

Battle Pass Rewards

The Battle Pass provides free camouflage through its progression system. Even without purchasing the Improved Pass you can earn 2D styles and customization elements on the free track. Each season runs for several months with multiple chapters offering rewards at different stages.

The free version includes all-season styles that work on summer winter and desert maps. Progress through the Battle Pass by earning points in random battles and the cosmetic rewards accumulate as you advance through the stages.

Referral Program

The Referral Program rewards players who invite friends or help returning players. Completing stages with your recruit unlocks the Award Uniform camouflage at stages two four and six with three copies at each stage. The final reward after completing all six stages is the Piece by Piece 2D style that works on vehicles from all nations.

Both commanders and recruits earn bonuses while playing together making progression faster. The program carries over unfinished progress between seasons so you can complete it at your own pace.

Clan Tasks on Global Map

Active clans can earn unique camouflage through Clan Tasks on the Global Map. These missions require clans to capture specific provinces within set timeframes. Completing expedition chains rewards individual participants with exclusive customization items that showcase competitive achievements.

These camouflage rewards can only be applied to one tank. To use the same design on another vehicle you need to complete another qualifying task. You must be in the clan when the task completes and participate in at least one Global Map battle during the expedition to receive the reward.

Tour of Duty

Tour of Duty is a permanent clan activity where members complete daily missions to earn points that unlock campaign regions. The rewards include four 2D styles named Prophecy Flame Retribution and Reaper. While the first daily mission can be completed solo the other missions require playing with clan members in platoons or detachments.

Seasonal Events and Special Operations

World of Tanks regularly runs seasonal events that include free camouflage as rewards. These events align with holidays or historical dates and feature unique missions with exclusive cosmetic prizes. Past events have included winter festivals and anniversary celebrations with themed camouflage patterns available only during the event period.
